A CSR Imperative

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
We are in the business of connecting families, friends and healthcare providers during one of the most important times in all our lives - the birth of a child;   So who better to help mothers in need of the basic education and information to care for themselves and their babies than us?
That's how we see it
The LAMB foundation

Why The LAMB (Look@My Baby) Foundation

Picture

AFRICA: Nearly three million babies die every year in Africa before the age of one. What’s more shocking is that figure is almost 8% of the children born on the continent.

ASIA: Too many babies die because their mothers are not provided access to information or proper care and nourishment, before or after they are born.

Middle East:  Improper hydration and nourishment of both mother and baby is the cause of needless suffering and death which is easily correctable.

We have a way to immediately improve this tragic situation by using something already in a mothers hand anywhere in the world...  The Smart Phone

We can help reduce the infant and maternal mortality rates by taking advantage of mothers’ growing access to mobile phones and providing support and education through dedicated online social networking and hospital services.

The LAMB Difference

Picture
Look@MyBaby's Cloud based computing, streaming and data storage capability is already being used by thousands of new parents and client hospitals across eight countries that span Asia, the Middle East and Africa. We already possess the knowledge base and infrastructure to provide access to vital healthcare information and services to Mothers via our BabyBook platform

Now this resource is available to all mothers and communities that can benefit from better access to information and their regional healthcare providers

We have a unique online reach to mothers on their mobile phone and can use this to provide crucial mother and baby education timed directly to the stage of the individual mother’s pregnancy, postnatal period and baby development from infancy to adolescence.

Mothers can be much better prepared for birthing. They can learn how to feed, nurture and wean their baby, and use proper hygiene procedures to prevent illness.

The LAMB Reach

Our channels for distribution of services and information is our differentiating factor.
  1. The Lamb Network of member hospitals & healthcare facilities;     LAMB is currently in dozens of hospitals throughout Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
  2. Our pipeline of member hospitals in currently greater than 900 facilities, each having their networks closely linked to community and services.
  3. Our Sponsors and supporter network.
  4. NGO Partnerships: When non-profits and for-profit companies work together they can create something bigger than they would alone.  Scale can be created through advocacy as well as programs.

Our Proposal

Look@MyBaby already offers Virtual Baby Visit online services connecting family, invited friends and the hospital in a secure network designed to share the joys of new babies. We have an international footprint with scalability designed into our systems that allows us to provide our services to billions of people.

These systems and infrastructure can be utilized in impoverished areas to connect new and expectant mothers with local clinics and the LAMB knowledge base dramatically reducing maternal and infant mortality

The Look@MyBaby Foundation seeks to work with NGOs and similar foundations to:
  1. Provide mothers and babies in low income and impoverished communities access to the same education and online services via their mobile phones that our current users enjoy,-
  2. Provide special attention given to the cultural differences of the region.-
  3. Give regional hospitals a touchstone for their local community outreach programs necessary to educate and assist new mothers during all stages of pregnancy, birth and postnatal care.

Although low-income households often have access to a mobile phone service, hospitals in many regions do not have the resources to manage education services or to take advantage of the social network reach that is available.

This is the stop gap we provide

By extending the reach of our online services to hospitals and mothers in impoverished areas we offer a unique opportunity for personalized and regionalized online social network Mother and Baby education.

All available on the mobile phone,
